Eureka E10S
Maintaining your home clean with pets and children is challenging enough. Eureka’s E10S is an excellent method to reduce time and free your hands.
The E10S is a mid-range, robotic vacuum and mop that’s designed to free you up from mundane chores but without sacrificing the quality of clean you expect in a home. It’s in between the basic entry-level robots with tiny dust bins that are onboard and no mopping capabilities and high-end robotic cleaners that have multiple tanks for cleaners and robust mop heads. In our tests, we discovered that the E10S was time-saving and provided a good level of cleaning. However it will require some maintenance to keep it running.
It takes the E10S around four hours to charge from a full charge however, it is able to start up and roams the house after a full recharge that’s plenty of time for a typical cleaning session. The robot scans your home and creates a cleaning schedule using the phone’s GPS, which allows you to define rooms and zones. You can also manually begin a cleaning at any time using the onboard buttons or the app.
The E10S was efficient in removing dirt and debris, with only a few exceptions. It struggled with some particularly sticky spills and had a hard to get into tight corners. The mopping capabilities are restricted to one mop pad at the back of the machine. It isn’t always able to lift the mop pad if it is placed on surfaces such as carpets or wood floors.
The E10S robot is attractive, well-engineered, and easy to operate. The base station is sleek and attractive with a clear, transparent perspex front to discern when it is time to be cleaned. It also comes with an incredibly sturdy ledge that allows it to stand independently when placed on a flat surface. The E10S stands out from other robots because it uses a multi-cyclonic vacuum system that is bagless self-emptying cleaner that is just as easy to empty.
Dyson Detect
Dyson the company that is known for its TikTok hairstylers and high-tech cordless vacuums that have an avant-garde look is now entering the world motorized mopping. This is the case with the V15s Detect Submarine, which can be used to vacuum and later mop hard floors by using its revolutionary Fluffy Optic Cleaner Head for hard floors with a built-in laser and the classic Digital Motorbar Cleaner Head.
This model, like the other V15s, can be transformed into a handheld device by taking off its main wand. Attaching any of the eight tools that come with it directly to the dust container, such as the latest anti-tangle tool which has 56 polycarbonate toothed blades that break up the hair strands of pet and human fur, allowing them to easily be taken into canisters and not be getting stuck to the brush itself. It also has three power levels as well as an hygienic system for emptying the bin that keeps debris in place until it’s cleared of.
Another handy feature is the V15s Detect’s smart LCD screen, which displays what mode you’re in (‘Auto or Eco and ‘Boost’), how much battery life remains, and a detailed graph that shows exactly what you’re consuming in the form of large chunks of dirt to tiny skin particles and allergens. You can set a timer that will remind you to empty your dust canister at regular intervals. This is a great way to avoid overflowing.
It’s also easy to use. After a full battery charge the V15s Detect will take just 4.5 hours to reach 100 percent runtime. Simply attach the attachments you like and press the mode button to begin cleaning. Once you’re done, the LEDs on the front of the machine will change green to show that everything was sucked up.
The trigger-operated system is a feature that divides opinion. Some find it difficult to use for long cleaning sessions. Dyson has solved this issue in its later models, with a push button on/off system and a larger bin. This is a good idea when you consider how much debris the vacuum can pick up. The vacuum also requires a special filter that can be removed from the base, and then washed under running water to keep it running at its peak.
