bagless robot navigator wifi-connected robot; www.cowgirlboss.com, Vacuum
This bagless robot vacuum wifi-connected robot has a utilitarian, all-black design. Its price is comparable to other high-end smart robotic vacuums.
You can control the device using the physical Clean and Dock buttons on top as well as the SharkClean App, or with voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant. It comes with a variety of smart features, including home mapping and virtual no-go zones.
Matrix Clean
A powerful home cleaning product from America’s leading vacuum cleaner brand (based on NPD Group/Retail Tracking Services sales data). Matrix Clean features incredible suction power, Matrix & Precision Home Mapping, and a self-emptying base.
SharkClean is an app that you can download on your smartphone to map your rooms. Once it’s done mapping the app allows you to set up an agenda for your robot to keep your home clean or select rooms to have the Matrix automatically start a cleaning session. You can also set ‘no-go zones, such as beds or closets that you don’t want it to enter.
The app also lets you make use of the “spot” cleaning on demand feature. You can choose a spot that is dirty on your floor map and the robot will automatically move over that area by repeatedly swiping its cleaning pad. It is able to clean everything, from dog hair tumbleweeds and tiny pieces of paper from a recent crafting project.
When the Matrix finishes it’s cleaning job the Matrix will return to its dock and empty itself into the bin. This is a great feature since it cuts down on the need to perform maintenance.
One thing to consider about this particular model is that the LIDAR mapping sensor is located directly on top and could hinder it from easily getting underneath some of the lower furniture like sofas and tables. This is a great choice for those who don’t mind that it’s a bit higher than other models. Be aware that this model isn’t equipped with an HEPA filter like the other models on this list.
Precision Home Mapping
Shark’s Matrix Clean Navigation is a precise grid that makes sure that no spot is missed. Amazing suction draws dirt, dust and debris to a bagless base with 60-day capacity. Precision home mapping combines 360deg. LiDAR vision with a precise homemap in the SharkClean App that allows fully autonomous movement and intelligent objects avoidance. It creates a precise map of your space, either at night or during the day and allows for full movement without causing damage to furniture or other obstructions. You can choose to leave your robot to clean according to a schedule, or you can use the Matrix Clean on Demand app and set specific targets for each room.
“The team at Precision is fantastic, they understand that building a house can be stressful, and they do an excellent job of keeping you calm during a time when you’re concerned about permits, weather, timing etc.” Josh C.
Powerful Suction
The RV2502AE is a solid mid-range robot vacuum that ticks all the boxes. It’s simple to use, creates accurate home maps, and comes with a an automatic bag emptying system. It’s also less expensive to operate than many other robot vacuums.
It also has plenty of power, scooping up debris using its suction opening, and relying on its side brushes to push carpet and hair threads into the brushroll. This stops the brushroll from clogging up and becoming messy, like other robotic vacuums. This makes the machine more effective in removing hair from pets.
This robot has powerful suction, a self-emptying base and a high-efficiency HEPA filtration system that captures 99 percent of allergens and dust mites. It also comes with two power modes that can be used to suit different types of floors and a remote that lets you to access all its functions. Additionally, it is compatible with voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant so you can initiate cleaning tasks without touching the robot.
It’s a good option for homes with a lot of space, but its navigation abilities may be a problem for some. The bump bot had issues with stairs. Other bump bots can avoid them, but this one couldn’t. It used Infrared sensors and LiDAR to map the house however it was constantly mistakenly assuming my cat condo for stairs and demanded that I move it out of the way. It also had a shorter running time than the advertised time of 180 minutes.
Self-Empty Base
Certain robots, like this one, have self-emptying bases. These bases vacuum or dump debris from the onboard dust bin into an external dirt compartment. This makes maintenance easier. These are called Clean Base Dirt Disposal (iRobot), Auto Empty Station (Ecovacs) or bagless autonomous vacuums Self-Emptying Base (Shark). They are a practical option however they can be noisy and messy. They typically require special disposal bags.
This Shark model is bundled with an HEPA-filtered bagless robot vacuum and mop base that boasts a huge capacity. It can hold debris for up to 60 days and doesn’t have to be cleaned daily like other models. Shark’s suction is powerful enough to handle even the toughest mess. The only issue is that the docking station’s vacuum system that is used to clean the onboard dust bin is quite loud.
When the robot is plugged in and charging it, it will emit an alarm and a green light on its top will blink to indicate that it’s prepared to start cleaning. When the robot’s battery is low, it will dock itself to its base and stop working until it’s recharged. It is essential that the dock or Self-Empty Base is placed in a place that isn’t obstructed by furniture or other objects, and is clear of any obstructions in the vicinity of it.
While it’s a little pricier than some of the other mid-range robotic mops we’ve tested, it feels well-built and has better performance on bare floors as well as a longer battery life, less demanding maintenance requirements, and a broader range of automation features, including virtual boundary markers. The iRobot Roomba i7 is still our top choice, however, because it feels more durable and refined and charges more quickly, and is able to be caught on rug tassels less often. It also has a greater capacity for its battery.
Easy Setup
The Shark AI Ultra comes with an easy-to-use Schedule that requires only few inputs. You can choose the day and the time of sunset and sunrise and the duration of the ramp times (increasing or decreasing the brightness) and if you wish to switch on the lights when it gets dark.
It does not have voice control or smart mapping like Alexa and Google Assistant but it has an extremely useful free programming suite. This suite includes a number of Windows-based tools that allow for operating parameter settings and communication, dmXLAN switch and node configuration and also real-time testing and fast replication to multiple installations.
The interface is simple to understand even for the most inexperienced user. It includes tabs at the top, which correspond to the different screens that the installer will display and also tabs that allow you to play with the various options for colors and messages. It’s a powerful tool that lets you quickly create a program installation. The application is a lightweight 1.3MB and is compatible with everything from Windows 7 down to Windows 95.
